A “yellow” Thanksgiving . . .

On the Sunday after Thanksgiving some friends came over for a visit, we cooked and ate and cooked and ate and cooked and ate!  The menu of the evening included sweet potatoes, corn, two types of stuffing, and apple pie.  I didn’t realize it during the planning, but as we filled our plates I thought, "wow — that’s a pretty yellow meal!"  In addition to all the food-related activity, we also sang, watched a movie, and shared what we were thankful for.  It was a great way to celebrate the holiday (and to help me forget that I’m far from home and my husband is in the tropics!)  I truly am thankful for the many special friends that have been brought into my life in Tianjin.
